It's a sad day here at Pearl Harbor. The best damn Master Chief the @USNavy ever had has passed away. Jim Taylor, Navy volunteer extraordinaire was dedicated, ornery, old school & a great shipmate to all. We will be lost without him here at the PA shop. 
Jim loved his family, the Navy, the President, Pearl Harbor history & the Navy Region/JBPHH Public Affairs office, in that order. He did so much for Pearl Harbor Survivors & WWII Veterans that no amount of threads or characters would be enough to cover his accomplishments.
He was passionate about many things but none more than helping give Pearl Harbor Survivors the proper burial that they deserved. As a volunteer for the Navy he would arrange burials & internments for Veterans to be reunited with their shipmates in the USS Arizona & the USS Utah.
Jim's lasting legacy will not only be his efforts in honoring WWII vets but also his ability to find American themed aloha shirts to wear 7 days a week. He had at least 50 shirts with American flags. Jim, you will be so missed here. Fair winds and following seas Master Chief.
