So we get the final two candidates by Thursday 20th, and then the postal ballot by summer recess.

And then parliament is on holiday and then party conferences until October.
Parliament usually comes back in September for a week just to do the Queen's speech, and then they go off for party conferences until October.
Our Brexit extension expires at the end of October, and we're not going to have done anything by then.
And the new European Commission takes over when our extension expires, and the new Commission won't renegotiate.
My tweets are so far ahead of the curve. Brexit is over because we couldn't do it now even if we wanted to.
If there ever was a chance to leave Europe, it's gone now.

The only chance of a new Tory leader surviving a vote of confidence is with DUP support.

If they don't secure that, it's a general election. But even if they do, they're only going to win by maybe one vote.
But if they do survive the immediate confidence vote, it will only be by abandoning Theresa May's deal to get the nutters on side.

So. New Tory leader publicly abandons Theresa May's plod, and asks Europe to renegotiate. Europe says no.
Parliament breaks for the summer with Brexit unresolved. No withdrawal agreement, and no renegotiation. What do they do?

Got to do a Queen's speech in the autumn, but half their own party is now ready to mutiny whatever they try.

So even if the Tory leader survives a vote of confidence to at least get into the summer, they still have to pass a Queen's speech this autumn. Which they can't.
Yes. We're right. The Tories are going to have to offer another referendum. It's their only chance to stop Corbyn getting in.
General election October 17th. Tories offer another referendum that takes till next spring.

Four fucking years.

The new Tory leader is going to face a vote of no confidence anyway, which they must know they are likely to lose.
The only way they could win it is by promising the impossible
You could promise no border in the Irish Sea. You win the DUP, but then you can't Brexit, so you'd lose as many Tory votes as you gained with the DUP.
No confidence, general election.

Okay, what else?
You could promise to put a border in Ireland. Break the Good Friday Agreement. America would go mental, you would get no trade with them or with Europe. Crisis, what crisis?

Getting beyond a joke! So far (if I've not miscounted) there are set to be:
- 3 BBC programmes
- 2 Sky programmes
- 2 ITV programmes
dedicated to raising the profile of the Tory party by televising their candidates for leadership. @LibDems @TheGreenParty @ForChange_Now @UKLabour
My tuppence worth: I don't see the point of televising anyone other than the final two candidates, because only MPs have a say in whittling down the field before then, so why should people who zero members of the public have a say in selecting get unfettered TV air time?
But instead it's shaping up to be "every night is Tory night"...

1/The HR director concluded the elaborate presentation of the two candidates for promotion to senior management and asked for input from all the members of the board of directors. They all selected candidate A even though candidate B was by far better qualified.
2/ I was the managing director of the firm and knew the capabilities of both candidates better than the non-executive board members so I probed deeper, trying to understand why they wanted candidate A instead of the better qualified candidate B.

Excellence is dependent on other people, like judges, examiners, teachers, assessors, inspectors, auditors. But we can't control these people and whether they think we're excellent or not.

#b 'Teknik menjawab' is not a series of rituals that you carry out to secure an A in the exam. You don't get guaranteed an A just through superficial actions like highlighting keywords or drawing meniscus or inserting isi tersirat.
The problem is students and teachers treat teknik menjawab as some sort of pseudo magical ritualistic gestures that will bring a certain outcome. Draw a pentagram, slaughter a chicken, and your wish will be granted.
Some remote Pacific Islanders in 1940s came in contact with Allied and Japanese soldiers who were more technologically advanced and thought the soldiers were gods who had many "cargo" (canned food, electronics, modern stuff)
