I’m tweeting live on the #CarlBeech trial from the press gallery at Newcastle Crown Court. Resuming after a break for lunch.

Prosecuting counsel is taking the jury through chronology of Beech's recent history - since 2011.

‘Beech researched how to make claims about historical abuse. What hè claimed his father had done wouldn't qualify for compensation.

Then, up pops Jimmy Savile. So, in 2012 he makes the inevitable claim. Savile raped him, so he alleged. Rape = big claim.’

‘He bought a Mustang with first payment, not counselling as he claimed the money was for.

Then came the invention of John. 'I saw him yesterday', he claimed to counsellor he visited.

Going to counselling gave him a veneer of plausibility. He led the police to the counsellor.’

‘In 2012 Beech sent a message to friend that he had read a book 'Timmy Fielding', about a child abused by a ring of paedophiles.

'Too Many Secrets: Surviving A Living Hell', writings by Beech himself. But there is not an iota of evidence to support this.’

‘'Timmy' was abused at pool parties. Beech went on to claim exactly this.

In 'Timmy's' book, boys are made to have sex together, tethered and tortured. All later claimed by Beech.

‘... Timmy ran away and was found. Same thing claimed by Beech.

All his allegations have been lifted from other sources.

None of the claims are delusional. All lies prepared.’

‘Beech bogusly set police on a wild goose chase. This is the definition of perverting the course of justice.

Four months of investigation by Wiltshire police drew a complete blank. No surprise because they had been fed lies throughout. Not fantasy, but deliberate lies.’

‘When I was talking about someone called Aubrey, I was using a pseudonym for John, Beech claimed.’

‘In 2012 Beech plucked names at random from military high command to make accusations, including the head, Lord Bramall.

Compare his testimony to the lying, deceiving, the ducking, diving of Beech's performance.’

‘[Beech] accused some of the richest and most powerful men in the country to add heft to his claims.

But why did no one ever see any of what you'd expect to be large, shiny cars picking Beech up?

Beech's father, Ray, is no longer here to answer to Beech's claims of abuse.’

‘There is no evidence that either Ray Beech or this group of high-profile dignitaries ever abused the defendant.

His claims are polluted with untruths.

No hesitation, no pause, just deliberate lies. Still only Savile has been named among abusers at this stage.’

‘In 2013: Beech was looking at dream American cars on the net.

In September 2013 he applies for a crime number (so he can make compensation claim). His claim is then made.’

‘In 2014 - he mentions Elm Guest House for first time. He'd read the book about Cyril Smith 'Smile for the Camera'.

False corroborating witness invented.

Numerous claims about his father Ray having abused him, and the resultant medical inspections. All a pack of lies.’

‘“Internal and external scars” which Beech claimed: a complete pack of lies. Not an iota of evidence.

Not a smidgen of actual evidence to support his claim of a group of abusers.’

Prosecution takes jury through one lie after another, which he says exposes Beech for what he is.’

‘Writing his blogs helped him, Beech claims, but they were stuffed full of lies,’ says the prosecutor. ‘He enjoys attention, for sure.’

Back in court at the #CarlBeech trial in Newcastle.

Prosecuting Counsel says he intends to finish his address to the jury today.

‘In late 2014 Beech hands the police a list of the names of the people who had sexually and physically abused him.

Having deceived the Wiltshire police, he now set the Met off on a wild goose chase.

No mis-remembered falsehoods - rather unalloyed lies.’

‘Beech alleged abusers used a video camera to exacerbate his stress.

What he said in his blog is seriously different from what he alleged to the police.

In November 2014 he alleged three murders. Not a shred of substance in anything he claimed.’

‘Harvey Proctor attended this court to refute utterly Beech's claims.

Now it is 2015. Beech then assumed the persona of ‘Fred’. Fred doesn't exist other than that man sitting here with us in court... i.e. Carl Beech.’

‘The various places where he alleged abuse had taken place had all been researched on net.

He took advantage of his close relationship with police, all the while lying, concealing, pretending...

Harvey Proctor called a press conference to deny he was a child murderer.’

‘This person, who was framed for murder, shouted from the rooftops that he was innocent. Beech had gone too far and the investigation started to turn.

In late 2015, Mustang Convertible arrived. In 2016, he himself was now under the spotlight and his lies were gradually exposed.’

‘Basic answers were either vague or unforthcoming.

Sketches he drew, which he claimed were from memory, of places where he'd been abused were anything but. He'd researched them on the net.’

‘No action was taken against any of those accused by Beech. Instead it was Beech himself who was targeted. A river of material ensued which showed Beech is a profound liar.’

The prosecutor gives a long list of 'CLEAR PROOF' - a phrase he keeps repeating - that ‘Beech is an unadulterated liar and fraudster.’

‘His Worcester conviction was a serious matter. Falsely accusing people of child murder is on a different level.’

‘[Beech] realised this and so fled to Sweden, using the pseudonym ‘Samuel Williams’.

Prosecuting counsel: ‘To sum up, he has attempted to act as a dam, trying to hold back an ocean of evidence, which reveals him to be what he is. From being so talkative about what he alleged had happened to him, he suddenly refused to answer any questions in police interviews.’

‘His 'no comment' answers for six hours were intended to buy himself some time. The police had been given a completely inaccurate account of events. He had led the police 'a merry dance'. Operation Midland was closed down.’

‘A plethora of impressive individuals who served under and with those whom Beech has accused, have attended court to state they came across nothing to suggest the truth of what has been claimed by Beech.’

‘Beech was discovered to have carried out a massive amount of research to back up his lies.

No sign of John - he is John. No sign of Fred - he is Fred.’

‘Sketches/pen knives/ abuse locations....all lies. He did it for his own ubiquitous ends.’
