‘Jury members, you have to decide whether Beech is guilty or not as charged. Many of Beech's claims were made when he was under no external pressures. He was not under any meaningful scrutiny.’

Beech has no concern about impact on all those he involves in his web of deceit.

He has no regard about whom he lies to.’

He hides in plain sight. His hypocrisy is breathtaking. In October 2014 he writes to Met including 6 names of men who abused him...’

A few days later 6 names become 12 names.

He invents a man called Aubrey... He feigns outrage.

Two police forces go looking for the non-existent Aubrey.’

Beech presents himself as a caring, loving family man while looking at child pornography.’

‘A naked ‘selfie’ of Beech was shown to the court, yet had claimed he couldn't look at himself out of disgust for what had supposedly happened to him.

He had told Wiltshire police he didn't know names of his abusers, apart from his father and Jimmy Savile.’

An international manhunt was set up. Why did he do so if he were telling the truth? He just had to give a straightforward account.’

He is not a deluded fantasist as he has acted deliberately to deceive. He has carefully worked to conceal his lies.’

Beech has has continually advanced falsehoods and misdirected the police. He has lied and misled - nothing is based on delusion.’

There are multiple versions of the same events.

When you are asked ‘does he believe in what he has claimed’, ask yourself: which version?

Page after page of utter falsehoods.

No regard for all those he involves in his series of lies.’

Prosecuting counsel: ‘A deluded fantasist has the courage of his or her convictions....he or she doesn't run away and hide.

Common sense, fairness need to be applied to this whole case.’

Scott wasn't run over. Aubrey, Fred, Duncan... all made up. Beech claimed he saw Scott being run over. But he made it up...

Beech is a fictional story writer.’
