Maryland U.S Attorney Robert Hur announcing indictments of 90 defendants in four recent federal drug cases across the city.
Hur said part of his agency’s efforts to lower crime in Baltimore is focusing resources in neighborhoods with the most violence. Cases are result of police, federal agents and prosecutors collaborative efforts.
As of July 31st, federal prosecutors have indicted 215 defendants under its crime strategy. Last year, the office said indicted a total of 246 defendants in violent crime cases.
“We’re not going anywhere,” Hur said. “All of us need to act together to stop the violence.”
Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison here. Said his crime plan relies on strengthening relationships with federal partners. “We’re removing drugs” guns, and “bad actors” from the street, Harrison said.
