(THREAD) Three things: #Mueller has convened a grand jury in DC today; Cohen has shown up in DC; and there is a lot of talk about an imminent Roger Stone and/or Jerome Corsi indictment. 1/
While a Corsi indictment is imminent, and a Stone indictment at some point very likely, the fact that #MIchaelCohen is in the picture today indicates instead that he is likely in DC to appear as a witness against #DonJr, not Stone or Corsi. 2/
Cohen has never been in the news about Corsi or Stone, but there has been a lot of buzz recently about an imminent indictment of Don Jr. (Trump is reported to be depressed about this). 3/
1. If Mueller sent out target letters to Trump insiders, then @RealDonaldTrump knows that indictments are coming. He looked absolutely fried in Paris. Not to cut him slack but he looked like somebody with Cholera.
2. #Manafort's plea required him to cooperate with "the Government and other law enforcement authorities identified by the Government." Fed R Crim P 6(e) authorizes #Mueller with #Rosenstein's permission to share his grand jury files with state prosecutors.
3. So I'll be shocked if by now there are not several indictments already handed down in state courts. Will also be shocked if, while @POTUS was traveling, Whitaker was not briefed on them & shared the secrets with Trump whose system is starting to react to the massive stress.
In ordinary, non-Trumpian times, there are three branches of the federal government: Congress, the Presidency, and the Judiciary, but in the age of Trump, there are actually four: the above three and the Russia probe, first under Comey and then under #Mueller.
So far, the fourth branch has basically been jockeying into position, seizing the high ground on the battlefield. The real assault by our fourth branch of government hasn’t launched yet, but it will soon.
Trump has been acting weirdly (even for Trump) since the Tuesday election because he (of all people) knows that he and others in his campaign are guilty, and also knows that Mueller has the goods on him and on them. The walls are closing in on Donnie, and he’s going down--soon.
2. First, news is, #Mueller’s ready with some indictments. Take it from the #FakeNews publication with the most executive resignations, whose office was raided by the Manhattan district attorney’s office. #Newsweek They ought ya know about indictments, right??
All this talk about #Mueller seems like a fun time to mention Greg Craig (Sadden) was Obama's top White House lawyer while his wife, Anita Dunn was Communications Director. After Craig was forced out, Bob Bauer (Perkins Coie) took over.
Small world huh? cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/…
Craig was former Clinton insider, gave up all his precious connections to undermine HRC (as did Susan Rice) then suffered "death from a thousand leaks" which reminded @maureendowd of what Clintons did to Kimba Wood.
So incestuous!! nytimes.com/2009/11/25/opi…
#RogerStone’s problem is that he’s a self-promoter given to misleading people about his access. Ask @POTUS. @JulianAssange has already said that #Stone was falsely portraying himself as having inside information, when the public record shows he knew nothing not already public.
… or is there something more at play here w/ notorious fabulist #RogerStone? He’s clearly no mastermind, but is he the one person who could — if coerced & blackmailed into lying by #DirtyCop#Mueller — implicate @POTUS@realDonaldTrump in a fictional scheme to “collude?”
2. In 2016 @JacobAWohl shut down #Wohl Capital, dropped out of college and started 2 new projects from L.A Montgomery Assets and NeX Capital, equity, fixed income and commodity and commodity trading advisement respectively.
.@VoteMarsha ginning up the 'fake outrage' machine again. Last time she did this she violated @Twitter TOS against distributing hacked material. The first time she contributed to the deaths of a police officer and a decorated veteran. [THREAD] #TNSen
We've actually been writing threads about this for weeks now. In early October @Votemarsha resurrected her "#StopTheBias" hashtag which she shares with such fine upstanding orgs as Alex Jones' Prison Planet.
The gist of her argument is, hacked internal @Google emails reveal unflattering things its engineers believe about @VoteMarsha. (Many other people believe unflattering things about her for good reason, we might add.)
1) TRUMPS NAZI AGENDA BY HIS TRAINER WHO FLIPPED:
Members in the world. I got out actively pursuing #Nazism about two years ago. I began training #DonaldTrump in 1997. I had known him for a while but he expressed interest in the #Nazi Movement to me in 1997.
2) He asked me to train him. I accepted. We started out slowly, I led him
through subliminal #mindcontrol techniques at first. I told him that repeating things over& over especially short phrases- #brainwashes people to do your will. He learned how to repeat things over and over
3)in a way that would control the masses. From mind control, we began
working on “importance” of being white. As a trainer, I fed him lines about dangers of minorities. I told him that the black and Mexican communities were dangerous and must be stopped - even through #genocide.
I know many expect AG Sessions & DAG Rosenstein to be fired soon after the election. Do you think their rapid capture of the #MAGABomber helped to make that more difficult for @realDonaldTrump? I may be wrong, but my gut tells me that Trump doesn't fire them right away [1/4]
And I suspect #Mueller will file a preliminary report with Rosenstein (& indirectly to Congress) right after election outlining not everything, but enough evidence of wrongdoing that firing them after that would look like @realDonaldTrump is just trying to silence them. [2/4]
So as much as I think @realDonaldTrump wants (and intends) to fire AG Sessions and/or DAG Rosenstein, I suspect he will be outmaneuvered and that he will ultimately be talked out of it by his staff. What do you all think? [3/4]
The only noteworthy thing in this article in The Hill is the following quote by former federal prosecutor Seth Waxman: 1/4 tinyurl.com/y8n77ejd
If Manafort hasn’t already given #Mueller sufficient evidentiary testimony to implicate the campaign in collusion with Russia (Manafort has met with the Mueller time 9 times in long sessions), Mueller will *never* have it. 2/4
1. In 2014 #Cadre was founded by Ryan Williams and the #Kushner brothers (#Jared and #Joshua) They funded #Cadre initially through Thrive Capital partners which is a V.C. fund, raising $18 million initially,
This article has provoked a lot of commentary today. Most of the commentary from the the left has been alarmist, though some (like @SethAbramson) have been dismissive. I don’t think either response is appropriate. 1/16
There was every reason to expect that Mueller would go into action again shortly after the election; we didn’t need this article to know that. 2/16
1/Jeremy Bash, former DOD & CIA under Obama, said tonight that if #Mueller talked to Michael Cohen for >50 hrs (as reported by Emily J Fox @ Vanity Fair), Mueller's looking into Trump's personal financial history far beyond his campaign. For instance, he's asking if Russia funded
2/Trump's real estate dealings, and, if so, for how many yrs. And that, Mueller's looking deeply into the Trump Org's financial dealings, again, with Russia. To what degree was/is Trump a foreign operative? #TuesdayThoughts
3/ NB: Vanity Fair is reporting that Cohen has spoken with Special Counsel from Mueller's team and also from the SDNY and possibly another, which is unnamed. vanityfair.com/news/2018/10/m…
What the hell??? #ReinstateRobynGritz . Several FBI employees were recalled to Washington from some half a dozen cities across Asia, as the agency investigates allegations involving parties and prostitutes, people familiar with the matter said wsj.com/articles/fbi-p…
The @FBI is still protecting McCabe etc by not giving me my FOIA requested documents & Continuing to push lies out in my case. Nothing is changing. NOTHING! I have hesitated to say this but @FBI may be beyond repair. Nice job @Comey & #Mueller. You destroyed so many people
While #JeffSessions’ & #RodRosenstein’s replacements should ideally come from OUTSIDE #DOJ, somebody like #JohnDemers could also be a good choice. Not perfect, but good. As head of the National Security Division, he‘s shown real gumption in addressing #China’s espionage threat.
