The difference between men catcalling women and women catcalling me: 3 drunk women just started catcalling me, yelling that I had a nice arse leaving me walking away whilst the three of them discussed it at length. Yes it was embarrassing, uncomfortable, and shame inducing.
Yes this ocassionally happens to men. I did not however feel intimidated. I did not fear for my life. I did not feel I was going to be sexually abused. This is the first time this has happened in 4 years. Women deal with this shit daily with deeper risks attached.
This was also not done to demean me as a man and it is not something I have to mitigate against as a daily part of my social navigation.

There are worlds of difference that MRA’s need to get over.

An ad hominem attack is basically a cheap attempt to smear someone & their position through guilt by association. We can agree with some of the same conclusions without agreeing on the arguments that lead there.
Because we believe that ‘woman’ is defined as ‘adult human female,’ our position is named ‘biological essentialism,’ as if we believe there are hard-wired traits that women are born with. These are not the same things. medium.com/p/3bec3fc4bdb6…

I think a lot of common anti-feminist arguments are poor, or at the very least would require a lot more reasoning than they're commonly afforded to make them plausible. /1

Maybe, but do we really think the set of differences in gender norms anti-feminists seek to defend is completely co-extensive with the set of biologically determined differences? /2
This is especially problematic when there are few examples of *purely* biological differences between males and females. Biological and social conditioning are difficult to disentangle conceptually, let alone empirically. /3

1. No one is arguing that Testosterone is be all end all to performance. ZERO people.

We are arguing that it does impact performance and explain SOME of the difference between men and women.

But more so: That Testosterone is a surrogate divider of sex.
RE: Divider of Sex.

Why is it used as a marker? Because the overlap between male and females is minimal. Just about Zero XX women have natural testosterone levels that reach the even the low male levels.

So it's used as a surrogate marker for sex to divide.

Men are falling behind modern women in politically organizing around their own self-centered, immediate best interests.

This is b/c men haven't evolved a psychological mechanism that automatically prioritizes his own gender over "the other" like women have (Female In-group Bias)
Western civilization has given women authority they never had in nature.

Women never evolved a psychology that exercised authority with virtue -- a psychology like men's, that's more objective and that uses authority to benefit their species rather than JUST their own gender.
That women have a strongly expressed In-group Gender Bias for their own gender, while men do not, makes women unfit for the sort of authority that men have always had for all of time.

Women simply didn't evolve the psychology for that sort of responsibility.
