It appears that I owe an apology to @brad_polumbo

I sent this response to his tweet - mistakenly ascribing a belief to him him that he does not share or hold.
I received a calm and rational response correcting my mistake.
To which I responded thusly:

My apologies for ascribing the "rules" to yourself.

I should be more careful in my wording.

And I am fully in favor of revising those same rules.

I have long fought against their application in any form. But the application cannot be one-sided.
As I sent the original tweet out broadly, I thought it only fair to share my apology in the same fashion.
