How much of a conspiracy crank can you be, and still be an official in Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party? How about Piers Robinson: 9/11 truther, Assadist war crimes denier & Vice Chair of Lewisham West & Penge CLP. He's even giving a talk at @CLPLewishamW_P next month /1 
Robinson has praised the "diligent and painstaking work" of 9/11 conspiracy theorist David Ray Griffin and his Facebook page is full of 9/11 truther nonsense tiny.cc/6d22cz /2
He runs the Working Group on Syria, Propaganda and Media (with David Miller of @BristolUni), which claims the 2018 Douma chemical attack was "staged" to smear Assad & accuses the White Helmets of murdering Syrians to provide bodies for the hoax tiny.cc/t912cz /3
Robinson thinks it is "untenable" to conclude that Russia poisoned the Skripals and says their attempted murder was more likely to have been "connected to events in the US" wsws.org/en/articles/20… /4

Robinson left his post at Sheffield Uni earlier this year, to the relief of academics and students alike. But it looks like you can never be too much of a conspiracy crank for today's Labour Party. /End
Clarification: I've been told he's not vice-chair of the CLP, but he is due to speak there next month. I'm not sure that makes things much better.
