David Miller of @BristolUni has responded to criticism of his lecture on Islamophobia () and, well, he's dug his hole even deeper when it comes to this network map he used of so-called "Israel lobby" organisations & people /1 
Miller explains that this slide, used in his lecture about "Five Pillars of Islamophobia", was created to illustrate the "British Zionist scene" in a 2013 report about Bicom. Except that 2013 report had nothing to do with Islamophobia. It didn't even mention the word /2

Fast forward to 2019 and Miller is using this slide in a lecture claiming "parts of the Zionist movement" are spreading Islamophobia. The implication is that people & organisations on this slide may be involved in that activity. That's a grave charge to make /4
You would hope an academic has solid evidence to justify every name on that slide, given its use in a lecture about people who spread Islamophobia: but now we know it wasn't even created with that in mind. It's shockingly irresponsible to use it in this way /5
Maybe when Miller gave the lecture he said "not all the people on this slide have spread Islamophobia, it was only person x and organisation y". Or maybe he didn't. But we don't know because @BristolUni have refused to release the recording of his lecture /6
Anyway, even *if* the slide was accurate in 2013 it's definitely not now. Most of the people on it have left their posts and three have died since it was first published! Never mind whether it is antisemitic, that's just lazy. How much are tuition fees at @BristolUni? /End
