It is TOTALLY NORMAL for USG to delay/withhold aid to countries that fail to meet criteria assigned by our policy for that country/aid. AKA reforms benchmarks etc.
It is NOT NORMAL to withhold aid for personal gain, material or political.
It is TOTALLY NORMAL to pressure an aid recipient to remove bad eggs in their govt who are spoiling purpose of aid/failing to implement reform.
It is NOT NORMAL to pressure an aid recipient to investigate a US citizen unless by request of mutual legal assistance from DoJ.
It is TOTALLY NORMAL for officials/pols to make small talk w/ foreign officials/pols re upcoming US elex. They want to plan for what next, insights etc.
It is NOT NORMAL to openly request that they take a partisan stance on your behalf, or else you will strip vital aid.
It is (sadly) TOTALLY NORMAL (if icky) for children/spouses/sibs/buddies of high profile US pols to be recruited by foreign enterprises for board seats. They are buying credibility of names.
It is NOT NORMAL for everyone in the cabinet to fail to disclose their conflicts.
It is TOTALLY NORMAL for unbriefed Americans to not understand why saying "the Ukraine" is bad as it denotes a time of occupation by a foreign power.
It is NOT NORMAL for the POTUS to be unable to learn this or not say "the Ukraine."
It is TOTALLY NORMAL for the WH to pay close attention to disbursement of aid in vital situations like Ukraine.
It is NOT NORMAL for WH to use OMB to hold up military aid to foreign country, even when your chief of staff is also OMB director & everyone is acting everything.
It is TOTALLY F@$&!%* NOT NORMAL to sit in the Oval Office and ask a foreign leader to f*ck with your national elections.
