People, it is flatly untrue that Demos had never given money to WFP before. They’ve worked together for years. What’re y’all doing?

Also, I’m on the board of the National Press Foundation. Our budget is a fraction of WFP’s and they would never think to ask me to weigh in on a $45k grant. That’s not a board-level thing.
I think the WFP not releasing the vote total from its membership and national committee is ridiculous and they should do so. But this idea that it was bought for $45k is nuts.

Here’s $31k from 2015. Story falls apart on this alone. 
All these progressive groups have tons of different legal names for nonprofit/tax and FEC reasons. The $45k that Daily Mail went to actually went to 3 different entities but all are WFP. This in 2015 was a c3 of theirs.
For instance, the Democratic Party includes the DNC, DSCC, DCCC and various super PACs. The Progressive Caucus has an affiliated nonprofit. It’s not unusual for them to form lots of different orgs.
Last point: The claim is that $45k in ‘18 from Demos to WFP bought the WFP endorsement for Warren. But $15k of that went to the NJ WFP to support its AVR campaign.
