This is a disgusting smear and FNC should issue an apology. The idiot guest actually suggested it was “espionage”.

For those that don’t know, it is not uncommon for US officials to have discussions with their foreign counterparts in their native language.
Being an immigrant from Ukraine and speaking the language does not make someone any less American nor should it mean someone serving their country has their loyalty baselessly questioned.

So let's do some simple math:

The TOTAL wealth of all the billionares in the U.S. is ~ $9 trillion.

Even ignoring everything else, her plan claims to raise $20.35 Trillion in a decade with tax hikes.

She's just lying.
Mathematically impossible for Warren to keep the promise she just made. She could take all the wealth of all the billionaires in America, and would still have to come up with 11+ trillion from other Americans. She either has no understanding of her own plan or is just lying.
Ah you're right. Was going from memory. So it's actually closer to $3 trillion for just US billionaires. So even assuming she got half their wealth, she would need to make up $18-19 trillion from somewhere else.

Haley: Candidates who supported GND promoted abortion in the 3rd world as a form of population control.

You: Sanders, a GND supporter, cited population control as a solution to climate change and promoted more abortions in 3rd world. But False.
All their GND related fact-checks are like this. Here they claim that 93 trillion price tag is false because that's a high end estimate and based on a lot of assumptions.

But authors of GND didn't provide details so only way to cost it is assumptions...

Here is another one from politifact where they ding Andrew Yang for saying the GND would do away with air travel.

Somehow just dismissing that the FAQ from the authors stated that as a goal and that their carbon-nuetral goals can't be met without it.

Almost all of this is wrong. We don’t let people die in the street now in America.

1) We already have large government programs that cover healthcare for the poor and the elderly. No one is denied emergency treatment.
2) No evidence that expanding subpar coverage will improve health outcomes or reduce costs. Emergency care use actually went up under ACA despite predictions otherwise.

3) M4A isn’t Medicare, but also most people currently w Medicare have supplemental coverage (M4A would ban).
4) The reason costs are lower for many gov’t care programs is they simply restrict payer rates and level of care. That will inevitably lead to worse care and less supply of competent care. Also, freedom to choose your care decreases with one size fits all model.

Here's a comparison between 2004 (Bush/Kerry) and 2018 (Cruz/Beto). Democrats gained ground among both whites *and* Hispanics, but the gains among Hispanics are larger.

Whites: R+ 49 (2004); R+32 (2018)
Hispanics: D+1 (2004) D +29 (2018)
Meanwhile, Hispanics have grown from 20% of the electorate in 2004 to 26% in 2018. They're still underperforming in comparison to their share of the voting-eligible population, but that's helped Democrats too.

Bernie's polling is decent, but that he does the 2nd-best against Trump (after Biden) is partly an artifact of name recognition. For instance, Buttigieg polls worse than Bernie vs. Trump. But Buttigieg actually has better favorables than Bernie among voters who know who he is.
It's certainly a messy relationship. Some liberals, including Bernie, have decent (though not great) polling. Some moderates don't. But favorability ratings, which allow voters to say they don't recognize a candidate, are a better way to assess this stuff than head-to-head polls.

You have to adjust for name recognition, though. Biden, at just south of 30 percent, is still something like a 2:1 underdog. And Bernie's position at 20 percent, as I wrote yesterday, is tenable but not great.
Per the chart above, Buttigieg's position is roughly as good as Bernie's on a "polls only" basis, or maybe a bit better. Empirically, you'd slightly prefer to be polling at ~10% with low name recognition than ~20% with high name recognition.

You all know, the day where false #discoveries were slammed in my lap to goad me on to outburst as my lawyer got LOUD ON PURPOSE? Where I finally got back subpoened evidence that was purposely kept from me for a year and half? #LivePD doesnt though, so for refreshers....
