I have little doubt that HMRC has now, belatedly, assessed Uber to VAT and Uber is now liable to VAT for reasons I explained here.

@alexrook1 @irwinmitchell @11KBW As this paragraph makes clear, it will be open to journalists to apply to the Court for a copy of the HMRC document in which it will say whether it has assessed Uber to VAT. I will let journalists know when that document has been filed.
