One the best interviews I've seen during this campaign from @C4Ciaran. Relentless, unflustered forensic questioning
Extremely noteworthy how Gove responds. He attempts to smear the interviewer by suggesting that he is either left-wing, or a polemicist, or following the Labour attack line.
This is a standard populist trick, used by Orban in Hungary and Trump in the US - to present journalistic scrutiny as working with the opposition, to attempt to discredit the media when they cannot answer their questions.
Despite his panto-level mock politeness, Gove is one of the most disreputable and irresponsible politicians in this regard.
It's entirely in keeping with his suggestion, during the 'had enough of experts' interview in 2016, that economic analysts were in the pocket of Brussels.
Also, if you want to want to have fun, try to count the number of times Gove says the word 'fine' during that interview. I chose to hear the noises of the cattle as a protest against it.
