My spouse and I went to the Andy Warhol Museum yesterday. It's a fantastic museum in general, but I esp. wanted to see the Revelation exhibit ( I even bought the exhibit book and other mementos!) Mute me now if you don't care. #materialreligion 1/
The Warhola family were members of St. John Chrysostom Byzantine Catholic Church. 2/
Warhol's mother, Julia Warhola, was a self taught artist. She apparently liked to draw cats (not shown her, but examples ar elsewhere in the museum) and angels, among other things. 3/

This massive work isn't actually in the Revelation exhibit, it's in the regular collection, but the image served as the the cover of the Mass card for Warhol's funeral. 11/
Anyway, the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh is amazing and you should go. And if you go before February 16, you'll get to see this exhibition.
