X : What are the most tangible impacts you've seen from mapping?
Me : Do you mean in terms of company turnaround, billions in efficiency, hundreds of millions made or lives saved?
X : Yes
Me : All of them.
X : Can you give examples?
Me : Why do you want examples?

X : So, I can tell if it's worth doing?
Me : Is the environment in which you operate the same as others?
X : Probably not.
Me : Then examples are meaningless. All are context specific.
X : But I don't know what mapping will do for me.
Me : No-one does until you've mapped it.

X : But is the investment worthwhile?
Me : You will never know until you've mapped a space. It only costs you time, so try it is all I can recommend.
X : But what if the map is wrong?
Me : All maps are wrong. By sharing with others you aim to create a better map.

X : I need results.
Me : No, you're looking for is certainty. I can only show you how to map, I can't tell you what you're going to find when you map a space that no-one else has looked at or shared maps for.
X : Is there some atlas of maps?
Me : Not yet, give it 10 to 20 years.

X : Maybe I should start mapping then?
Me : Sure, whatever you find useful.
X : You're not doing a very good sales job.
