After Trump completely wiped the Clean Water Act in Nov. he’s now obliterating Obama-Era protections for waterways.

This should alarm everyone, despite politics. This will affect every single American.

Nov 2019—Trump announced his repeal of all major Obama-era CWA
that limited the amount of pollution & chemicals in rivers, lakes, streams & wetlands.

More—Trump forced the EPA to limit Scientific evidence/facts used to write public health laws & regs.

Arsenic, lead, carcinogens & more have increased under the EPA SDWA acceptable toxic levels bc of Trump.

We’re witnessing Flint,MI (lead) & Hinkley,CA (hexavalent chromium) play out—only much worse.

The children of Flint, MI were exposed to lead prenatal & in infancy.

Result—learning disabilities & developmental problems have increased 56% in just 5 yrs.

One doesn’t take away water— or strip away rules that protect our drinking water because they “hate water.”

Healthy people can go without water for 3 days.

They inhumanely take away water bc they know it’s life or death.

It costs LOTS of money to retrofit or build new manufacturing equipment that doesn’t discharge pollutants into our surface waterways & groundwater—the source of our drinking water.

Those who discharge pollutants CAN afford to provide these protections—But it cuts into profits

Let me be clear: Only the 1 percenters Profit by irrevocably destroying life sustaining potable water (& food and our environment) provides at the detriment of all others.

In plain language, the rolling back of the CWA, SDWA & many EPA regs will sicken & potentially kill people.

Before him, we already had regulations that I witnessed as an engineer firsthand, that weren’t enforced or fixed if there’s was a problem.

Because of Trump, his rhetoric, and continuing actions to decimate regs, the regs left are nearly pointless.

There’s a fairly singular purpose here as to who Trump’s wiping the CWA & SDWA benefit. And it’s not you & me.

The irreparable harm will be burdened by our children & their children’s children, & so on.

Trump’s rollbacks WILL cause irreversible health & welfare issues—& deaths.

Trump’s elimination of safe water regulations is unfettered greed and malice.

Like authoritarians before him, they pillage the earth to serve them for profit.

He’s temporary, but directly causing irreparable, irrevocable, & life altering damages.

Trump is allowing us 2 b poisoned so the 1% can profit while our country & planet speeds towards irreversible & irrevocable climate catastrophe.
His actions will destroy lives & cause preventable deaths

This isn’t hyperbole—THIS IS what fascism looks like
