Why did the CIA/FBI make Halper, the mastermind of Spygate? Was it because he was involved in numerous scandals, including being sued for bank fraud and RICO--settled out of court.
Or was it because Halper was an alleged "crack head"?
Or was it because as his friends at the Washington Post claimed Halper was a "gossipy Professor" "a patriot and a good academic"?

Was Halper the guy your government should pay millions to and trust as a reliable source or is he just very dodgy. What do you think ?

Two of the Page FISAs have been declared illegal due to lack of probable cause. (The other two are still being reviewed)
The illegal FISAs are:
-Second renewal, April 2017
-Third renewal, June 2017
Both applications were made and granted long after Pres Trump took office. /1
The evidence providing the probable cause came from three sources:
-Steele (Source 1)
-Press reports leaked by Steele
-Stef Halper (Source 2)

Steele was fired in October 2016 for revealing himself as an FBI source. So Stef Halper's "work" became the main source for probable cause in the later FISA applications. This was only revealed in the IG report.

The '90 Halper case stemmed from the creation of a bank and misrepresentations made to the Treasury Department (Comptroller of the Currency-OCC) and the Federal Reserve.
Halper's lies were established through documents sent to the Treasury and the Federal Reserve. Misrepresentations were also made to individuals investing in their holding company/Bank.
