One of the two values shared by both Scrum and XP is respect. What does that mean? Here are a few ways it plays out: 1/12
• Do you respect the teams enough to leave them alone and let them work? 2/12
• Do you respect their ability to know best how to do their work. 3/12
• Do you respect them enough to pay them fairly and equitably? 4/12
• Do you respect them enough to follow their direction? 5/12
• Do you respect individuals enough to actively help them learn and grow? 6/12
• Do you respect them enough to provide an effective work environment and tools? 7/12
• Do you respect their competence? intelligence? decision making? 8/12
• Do you respect their their time enough to not burden them with unnecessary bureaucracy? 9/12
• Do you respect their humanity enough to give them control of when and where they work? 10/12
• Do you respect them enough to honor their decisions about the product itself and the way they choose to build the product? 11/12
I could go on. What would you add? 12/12
