<rant> I'm sorry, but if we're an Agile shop, nobody has the right to come in and tell us that we must work in a phased-gate, siloed, waterfall way to make them happy. I see that all the time with traditional product ppl, traditional architects, UI/UX people, etc. 1/5
They have some notion of how they *have* to work in isolation based on control, not collaboration, and insist on working that way. E.g. they want to "own" all customer interaction to maintain control. They won't interact with anybody outside their discipline. 2/5
They whine about how oppressed & disrespected they are because people won't work the way that they want to work. They refuse to adapt to other ways. 3/5
They treat a necessity to learn something outside their narrow discipline with fear: calling it an imposition or impossibility. 4/5
If they're not flexible enough to adapt the way they work to a tight collaborative inspect/adapt loop with frequent releases, exactly how are those people assets? It doesn't matter how "good" they claim to be. </rant> 5/5
