This “truth still matters” riff by Judge Jackson resembled the closing argument Michael Marando, one of the prosecutors who recently withdrew from the Stone case, made in November. motherjones.com/politics/2019/…

And Schiff hit the same theme in his final argument at Trump’s impeachment trial, intentionally or not. motherjones.com/impeachment/20…
Obviously this truth matters argument is compelling. That’s partly about power, the idea that while Trump and co. have the power to make up what Fox News call truth, to insist that one Stone juror being a Democrat requires his exoneration, they can’t make everyone accept lies.
