Here’s my take on the state of play: Warren staying in and winning as many delegates as possible is absolutely the best strategy for her, and probably the optimal game theory proposition for both Biden and Sanders for that matter—depending on how Super Tuesday breaks.
As I say my piece, Biden wants Warren in because she is the progressive counterweight to Bernie. But Warren also pulls in voters who aren’t fans of Sanders and wouldn’t vote for him: She overlaps with every other candidate.
So if this truly is a two front runner race, with Bloomberg as the spoiler, Sanders needs Warren even more than Biden does. He needs her to be the ultimate foil for Bloomberg and to gather delegates that he has to believe will come back to him at the convention.
Again, these are Buttigieg, Klobuchar and yes, Biden votes that Sanders could never have gotten on his own. Especially with the way his most toxic stans have behaved in this race.
He need Warren to win THOSE voters, and then join forces with him. Her dropping out kills him.

If Sanders had won or kept SC close, or if he comes out of Super Tuesday with a decisive win over Biden—and Warren doesn’t get any traction—different story. But if it’s a divided race, Sanders NEEDS Warren to stay in as long as possible.
Which goes to show how the anti-Warren Sanders crew screwed themselves, and might still fuck this up for progressives.
