This is exactly what will happen, which is why centering a strategy around appealing to those votes is an unwise strategy.

They will find an excuse for what they don't want to admit in polite company they are absolutely going to do.
Again, even a slight willingness to vote for Trump is an extreme right autocratic position. Even being open to it—no matter what the other option is.

Any of them are welcome to change their minds, but I think time spent trying to change them is better spent elsewhere.
If Biden wins, there will be entire news segments dedicated to painting him as a far-left socialist, and anybody who is susceptible to that message will fall for it, because (and this is the key) they want to fall for it.

We're have to win without them, whoever the nominee is.

He ran on a Muslim travel ban and a massive armed border wall and torture and jailing his opponent and repealing RvW and waging a trade war of choice.
I’ve been hearing people saying Trump ran as a moderate.

No.

“Unbiased” media tried to sell him as a moderate because they have to both sides everything pathologically. Now, because that’s how they reported it, that’s how they “remember” it.

He ran as an open fascist.

1. what if therapies start out effective but people adapt to them over time

people mostly *do not want to change* and *actively resist change*. change is terrifying. so maybe any therapeutic modality that produces change by getting past all common forms of defenses eventually gets stymied by a new set of defenses; a psychological immune response
2. what if therapists mostly suck at learning modalities of therapy

several people have told me that me doing my work on them has been better than any therapy they've had. i have no formal training or certification, i've just been dicking around. this is nuts
