The Sanders people will see Buttigieg’s sudden exit from the race as behind-the-scenes maneuvering by Dem establishment to bolster Biden. If Klobuchar follows after Super Tuesday, the Sanders camp will likely be in full conspiracy mode—and for good reason.
Sanders has blow-out fundraising numbers and still has the grassroots mojo. But Biden will he propped up by the anti-Sanders powers-that-be like Weekend at Bernie’s (not Sanders) to try to get him to July convention. Then Trump will crush him in November.
Just imagine Biden on a debate stage with Trump. And that’s still six months away. It’s inconceivable why Dems continue to think Biden is their best shot.
