My oath for women's day:
I will not abort a girl child.
I will give daughters the same share in property as sons.
I will care for the job of my mother/sister/wife/daughter/sister in law/daughter in law, to the same extent that I care for success in my own job.

I will share equally in all housework and child care with the women of my family.
I will see that all women in the family earn their own income and control their own mode of transport.
I will fight all kinds of eve teasing.

I will not give or take dowry or participate in any marriage where dowry has been given/taken.
I will encourage girls/women to dream of becoming engineers/scientists/astronauts and won't tell them that it is more suitable for them to become nurses/teachers/doctors.

I will encourage girls and women to play every game and sport equally with men.
I will fight for equal pay for equal work:

I will fight for permanent jobs and good pay for ASHAs, anganwadi workers, garbage collectors and all women who are slotted only into care giving and nurturing jobs.
I will punish and boycott all sexual predators.

I will not use mental or physical violence against women or tolerate it around me.
I will treat women equally with men in all places of worship and encourage them to study scriptures, become priests and conduct religious ceremonies.

Please add to this list what I may have missed.
Please don't celebrate women's day unless you can take this oath sincerely.
I am waiting for women to wake into this heaven of freedom.
