I know I'm coming late to this but I just watched the Fyre Festival documentary and it was just a little too G-D much on the nose. It's as if 2020 said "Guys...I have an idea...Fyre Festival, [dramatic hand flourish] but for the whole fucking world!"
And also, the grumpy old man in me just wants to say that we need to create a world in which at least a few people who aren't shallow morons get to be "influencers."
For real, Kendell Jenner? What on earth did she ever do to merit getting paid $250K to put one post on Instagram to "influence" other people? I know I know...celebrity culture, blah blah blah....but this is just no way to run a railroad. Come on people, get your shit together!
