At @emblebi we've always supported infectious epidemiology via the fundamental @enasequence @uniprot @PDBeurope resources but we're building and scaling on these functions to make a complete, open, COVID-19 portal, enabling research worldwide. ebi.ac.uk/covid-19
We are working hard with partners around Europe and with global collaborators to enable data flow of the viral sequence; as discussed we recommend raw data + consensus viral genome coming to @enasequence and consensus viral genome going to GISAID
We are also bringing together the structural biology (@PDBeurope), protein function (@uniprot) and chemical biology (@chembl), and we expect to expand into host aspects as well.
This is with partners in EMBL member states and with the European Commission and the European Open Science Cloud, each playing our role to enable science. As @JeremyFarrar says, Science is the exit strategy from this crisis, and we need to work globally to achieve this.
