I thought I would share what we have found out so far:
Face masks must conform to British Adopted European Standards (BS EN 14683:2019) including construction, design, performance requirements and testing methods.

USA supplies two types of see through surgical masks that meets their FDA standards.

Interestingly, during my research on masks, I have found out that cloth/fabric masks; sponge masks and activate carbon masks do not provide any protection at all for viruses. It's worth knowing this as there so many people wearing home made masks thinking this will protect them.
As yet, I have not found any UK or Europe based supplier. The NHS hospital I work with have been fantastic and are already contacting their colleagues across the UK and Europe to find a solution to this problem. If anyone knows of any supplier please can you let me know 🙏
