David Muir should not have allowed Trump to push his debunked China ban B.S.

In reality, 430,000 people arrived on direct flights from China after the outbreak began -- equivalent to the entire population of #Minneapolis.

Then Trump wasted #70days as the virus spread unchecked.
In February, nearly 2 million travelers arrived in the US from Italy & other European countries. Trump lied & said passengers from Italy, by then the global epicenter, were being screened. They weren’t. Trump’s failure CAUSED the disaster in NY, NJ & CT.
On February 26, the same day Mauricio Marchiori flew to NY from Milan (see previous tweet) and told @ABC News how surprised he was that he was allowed to enter the US without any screening, Trump said: “The 15, within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.” 🤦‍♂️
Days since last dumb statement added: 0.

In December 2017, #Trump claimed that his massive, deficit-busting tax giveaways for the rich and corporations would “skyrocket” the economy to 4%, 5%, even 6% GDP growth. (1/5)
In reality, the "Trump Economy" did not even reach 3% growth on an annual basis. Meanwhile, pre-#TrumpCrash the deficit had already skyrocketed—to $1+ trillion a year, with no end in sight. (2/5)
As for the debt Trump pledge to eliminate in 8 years: It soared to $24 trillion BEFORE the #TrumpCrash.

As for the autoworkers Trump promised his tax cuts would help: they saw 24,000 jobs disappear in the year BEFORE the crash. (3/5)
