In fact snap back is the only way to curb the Iranian regime's threat which would surely increase due to the sunset clauses leading to various sanctions reliefs as a result of the JCPOA agreement.
The world shouldn't be in a worse situation every few years, even with the October arms embargo extension. The bitter reality is that the ballistic missile sanctions are due to expire in 2023, limits to R&D of enrichment technology will be lifted next.
That would be followed by all physical restraints on enrichment, and an end to the #IAEA monitoring of centrifuge productions and uranium production all within a few years afterwards.
The only way to decrease the Iranian regime threat is for the U.S. to enforce the snap back mechanism at the UN or for the Iranian people to overthrow the Ayatollahs in #Iran, in which case it would end the threat all together. One thing is clear, the status quo is not an option.
