1/8 #COVID19 key concerns in 🇨🇦: Today, I am taking a moment to reflect on the updated numbers. Although we read and post these numbers online everyday, we can’t forget that each case is a person, with family, friends & community.
2/8 All have confronted illness & uncertainty; some have endured painful separation during severe illness & hospitalisation and too many have suffered the unspeakable pain of a loved one lost to #COVID19. #COVIDloss #COVIDCoping
3/8 As I take a step back to reflect on the human stories behind the numbers today, I want acknowledge the lives lost and offer my deepest sympathy to those who continue to grieve their loss the deepest. #COVIDloss #ProtecttheVulnerable
4/8 I don’t think a day has gone by when Canadians haven’t considered what these numbers REALLY MEAN - it’s been a big part of what has united & driven us to make sacrifices to stop #COVID19 from doing even more damage. #TeamCanada
5/8 So for the moments that we tire of this new way of life with #COVID19, let’s not forget our sacrifices, but also consider the progress we’ve made, take strength from it and gather our resolve to continue forward #StrongerTogether. #COVIDGain
6/8 The hard truth is that #COVID19 is still with us and there is no getting around it - we HAVE TO KEEP ↑ public health measures to maintain epidemic control. This is EVEN MORE important as public spaces reopen.
7/8 To reopen SAFELY means #everybody commits to GO OUT SMART by keeping ↑ #PhysicalDistancing, #Handwashing, #CoughEtiquette & wearing a non-medical mask where #COVID19 is still active & you can’t keep 2m from others.
8/8 Most importantly, if you have any symptoms even if mild, it is vital that you stay home and keep away from others to prevent spreading the virus. #StayHomeIfSick
