#BREAKING: #SMU releases its "big picture" plan for 2020 fall reopening. Plans "will be guided by science, common-sense expectations, and the traditional Mustang spirit."

#TEACHING AND #CLASSES: "[O]n-campus instruction will be a major component of the majority of SMU courses" but some will be offered online only or through a hybrid model. Fall holidays will be class days, and classes will be online after Thanksgiving. All finals will be online.

#HEALTH AND #WELLNESS: SMU "will foster a culture where face coverings and social distancing are the 'new norm'". SMU will have:
-a University Contact Tracing Program
-free COVID-19 tests to all students and employees
-on-campus isolation housing for infected students

#STUDENTLIFE: Housing exemptions will be extended to include "students within the DFW area" and "those outside of the DFW area whose course load is fully remote". Student orgs "will be given autonomy to design their own programs" and hold events with guidance from SMU.

#CAMPUS OPERATIONS: Most buildings, except Meadows will be closed to the public. Visitors are "expected to wear face coverings in public indoor spaces" and must make appointments. Dining halls will eliminate self-serve stations and may have "special scheduling" to reduce crowds.

#ATHLETICS: All athletes will be tested for #Covid_19 before beginning physical activity. Afterwards, "student-athletes, coaches and staff will all be screened daily with a temperature check and health questionnaire."
