👋🏽 We're excited to launch #Therapy4ThePeople!

Our country is facing multiple #mentalhealth crises that require immediate action. We're especially concerned for the emotional well-being of #POC (esp. Black/African American) who are unfathomably carrying the burdens (1/7)

of #COVID19, a deepening economic recession, police brutality, racism, and centuries of systemic oppression. Black, Indigenous, People of Color (#BIPOC) and people experiencing financial hardship are less likely to access mental health support due to a wide range of (2/7)

barriers such as the cost of services, difficulty with navigating the mental health system, and a lack of culturally competent providers in the mental health system. Our mission is to reduce these barriers to help people get support when they need it. (3/7)

And to do that, we need your help! 🙏🏽

We're crowdsourcing #mentalhealth supports (in-person and virtual) to build a database of affordable services (#free or < $20 per session).

The information submitted through that form will feed into a locked spreadsheet available for distribution to anyone seeking affordable #Mentalhealth support.

By the end of Summer 2020, we’ll add these services to Therapy4thePeople.org, which will have an easily searchable database for help-seekers to find affordable #Mentalhealth support that fits their needs.
