We made @thepromisefilm to raise awareness about the #ArmenianGenocide & to help secure U.S. Congressional recognition. It is incredible to see the early work of The Promise Institute for Human Rights & The Promise Armenian Institute at UCLA...we are still here ❤️🙏🏼🙌🏼💪🏼✊🏼
The Promise Armenian Institute is designed to be a hub for world-class research and teaching on Armenian studies and for coordinating research and public impact programs on Armenia across UCLA, and with the Republic of Armenia and the global Armenian diaspora.
These programs involve building and enhancing ongoing interdisciplinary research at UCLA in the social sciences, health sciences, humanities, public policy and many other fields, on one hand, and enhancing the already extraordinary impact that many existing campus programs,
such as those in Armenian music or health care outreach, have made.
The Promise Armenian Institute’s size, scope and interdisciplinary approach make it the first of its kind in the world, and UCLA is ideally positioned help it make important contributions

Please join me & @serjtankian in sharing this news! #Armenian civilians in #Artsakh continue to be attacked by #Azerbaijan without justification. Russian, U.S. & French leaders have called for an end to these hostilities, but Turkey called the demand for truce “unacceptable” & is
using American made F-16 aircraft to add to the hostilities. President Macron confirmed that Turkey has facilitated the involvement of Syrian mercenaries against Armenians. Do your own research & consider the sources. There is zero moral equivalence. Which perspective has the
dubious distinction of hatred, intolerance, autocracy, Genocide, disinformation & despotism? Why are the only opposing viewpoints coming from human rights abusers & their supporters? This is clearly an attempt to finish what was started 105 years ago & the global community needs
Please join me & @khloekardashian in continuing to share truth about the unprovoked attacks - by Azerbaijan - against civilian #Armenians in #Artsakh. #Armenia and Artsakh are defending themselves but seek assistance from the international community to condemn these attacks &
restore peace to the region. Share the news with your global networks & call on your U.S. representatives to get engaged to prevent further escalation via: anca.org/alert ... You can also get involved in the We Are Our Borders/All For Artsakh #ArstakhStrong campaign to
Please share the news @KimKardashian Armenians in #Arstakh have been attacked. We are praying brave men & women risking their lives to protect Artsakh & #Armenia. The news is misleading & these are not “clashes.” Armenia has been the victim of unprovoked attacks by Azerbaijan &
the predictable disinformation campaign that accompanies them. Azerbaijan is blocking social media except for war propaganda. We need international observers to investigate & call for international political and diplomatic measures to prevent unnecessary escalation & tragedy.
Please use: anca.org/alert to call on the White House & Congress Azerbaijan's attack on #Artsakh, call upon Baku to cease all offensive uses of force, cut off all US military aid to #Azerbaijan being used against Armenians & warn #Turkey to stop sending arms & fighters
You did this! 5 years ago tomorrow, hundreds of people started working tirelessly on a labor of love on behalf of so many Armenian people who did not have a voice. After 5 years of work & preparation, & decades of denial, we finally started shooting in Lisbon. I had 4 studio
heads around that time tell me - without reading a single word on the page or watching a single frame of the film - their companies could absolutely not be involved because of concerns about business interests & the reaction of denialist forces overseas. Those were just the ones
who had the guts to be honest because they know I will not reveal their names or companies. Yes...what you watch this country is absolutely influenced by foreign government interests. In addition, years of sophisticated market research revealed that there is minimal domestic
Please read & share. The impact of @thepromisefilm has been magnified thanks to streaming in the U.S. on @netflix 🙏🏼 Once you have streamed the film, the platform may show a preview - Make sure to click back on the screen right away so you can hear the Grammy-nominated, anthemic
title song by our dear friend...the legendary @chriscornell ... Leaders in the human rights & Armenian advocacy communities successfully used the film as a tool to fortify their ongoing efforts to secure #ArmenianGenocide recognition in Congress. Thanks to all of you out
there, now the film is being used to teach more people than ever before about the atrocities committed against the #Armenian, #Greek & #Assyrian populations by the Ottoman Empire. The film is just a starting point & we encourage you to read the facts from reliable sources like
I have been blessed with incredible friends, mentors & family who have pushed me towards success throughout my life. Achieving the highest levels in any discipline requires relentless dedication, focus & sacrifice. I am so humbled to have an incredible circle of confidants who
have succeeded time & time again & I am grateful for their constant inspiration & support. They have also stressed honor & compassion for my fellow human beings. Many of us decided long ago that we would also use our platforms & friendships to lift others up & raise awareness for
those in need & for important issues. I am especially proud of #Arturaleksanyan who won the gold medal in Rio 4 years ago today & dedicated his victory to #robertabajyan - a hero of #artsakh - & drew international attention towards hostility against Artsakh & Armenian soldiers 💪🏼
