The #SadasivaTemple was constructed in c.1249 by Bommanna Dandanayaka, a commander in the Hoysala Empire during the rule of King Vira Someshwara. It is located in Nuggehalli, Hassan district of Karnataka.

#SadasivaTemple is an eg. of Hoysala nagara style of architecture with Bhumija type superstructure. It combines ekakuta ("1 superstructure and shrine") architecture with a nagara styled tower. Temple is built on a jagati (platform) & the building material used is Soapstone.

#KedareshvaraTemple is located in Balligavi, near Shikaripura in Shimoga, Karnataka. Dotted with centres of learning (agrahara), Balligavi was an important city during 11th - 12th century Western Chalukya rule. The building material used is soapstone.

#JalakantesvaraTemple is dedicated to #LordShiva which is located in the Vellore Fort, Tamil Nadu, India. According to legend, there used to a giant ant-hill at the location where the sanctum sanctorum of temple now stands.

Chinna Bommi Nayaka, a Vijayanagar chieftain, who was controlling fort had a dream where LordShiva asked him to build temple at that location

The temple was built during reign of Vijayanagar king Sadasivadeva Maharaya (1540–1572).

Nayaka, proceeded to demolish anthill & build the temple in 1550 CE, and since the Lingam was surrounded by water (called Jalam in Tamil) the deity was called as Jalakantesvara (translated as "Lord Siva residing in the water").

Life-Size Stone Sculpture of Goddess #Saraswati.

Dated: 1200AD-1300 A.D

The goddess has been conceived as four-armed standing on a lotus pedestal and carrying lotus, book, rosary and a pot in her hands.

Along with the rosary, the lower right hand displays 'varada mudra', gesture of release. Elaborately bejeweled with a wider range of ornaments than usually seen in her contemporary images, especially the ornaments on her arms, the delicate string on the back of the palms.

Goddess has been modeled with an exceptionally soft & delicate figure, fingers, long, sharp & with pointed nails being most attractive & striking. Besides the lyre-playing devotee females and the donor couple, royal beings or a rich trader and his wife.
