Ok, I've read all 132 pages of the new #immigration policy document. I was hoping for real insight into how things are going to be different from 2021, don't feel like I have that... #CheckChangeGo [thread 1/6]
However, it's even odder to have no mention of the 'sole representative' route, or the Investor #visa. If these route are just being closed from January 2021, that really needs to be said now. It's not like there wasn't space in that massive document to be clear about this [3/6]
You're going to see lots of comments about exclusion of some #care workers because they're not considered 'skilled'. We knew that was coming, but it seems extra cruel to have a 'Health & Care' visa & still not acknowledge the importance of the role these individuals perform [4/6]
Frustrating not to learn more about what we already knew: eg, Resident Labour Market Test abandoned but a sponsored role must be genuinely vacant. I've learned nothing about how a #sponsor proves genuine vacancy; it's detail that allows a business to plan for being a sponsor[5/6]
So I guess that means we now wait for the Sponsor Guidance, the applicant guidance, the rules, the appendices, the new web pages, etc, etc to learn the specifics. Can't wait! #CheckChangeGo [End]
