Lucas Prasuhn scanned hundreds of #fish for parasites, self - teaching himself to identify them using pictures and references from the literature over a year. We worked on basic R skills and he went on to use them for complex diversity models in just a few months! #ABS2020 3/n

Brooke Harper measured gonad sizes & egg numbers on hundred of #fish from 15 populations. She's currently self teaching herself RMarkdown & preparing grad school applications with just 1 semester left @michiganstateu. She would welcome any tip on grad school! #ABS2020 4/n
