The rustling of cattle from locals has become the easiest source of survival for desperate #BokoHaram #ISWAP factions -the #Northern #governor’s #forum should regulate the transaction of cattle to frustrate their use by jihadist to raise survival funds.

Update - Blue on Blue Fire in #Gubio LGA response attack from local hunters & vigilantes. 4 First responders went missing in action. 1: Earlier today an attack to rustle Cattle by a suspected #BokoHaram #ISWAP faction was reported in #Gadaram #kangarwa village, #Gubio #LGA.

2: The first responders to the scene were #Gubio local Hunters under the leadership of one Ali Gwoza & a local vigilante (CJTF )team. The team is said to have communicated their movements to trace and track the jihadist to the #Gubio Military of Gubio.

3: Unfortunately abt 7km from #Gubio town the axillary security of #BornoHunters and #CJTF came under fire from the a well armed Nigerian army who mistook friends for approaching foes. Sources say 2 hunters and 2 CJTF fighters are missing and possibly dead.

4: #BokoHaram #ISWAP is known to ambush hunters, CJTF and military vehicles, pose as friendly forces and ambush military and security services.
The Commanding officer (CO) who led the troops has apologised and a search has been launched for the missing persons.

5: The capture and use of @HQNigerianArmy trucks by jihadist for ambush poses a psychological challenge to frontline troops - An internal investigation should be set up to effectively coordinate response & limit friendly fires in the theatre of war - #SeeSomethingSaySomething!!

An effective battlefield coordination is required by all stakeholders @HQNigerianArmy @DefenceInfoNG @CJTF @Localhunter @DefenceInfoNG @PoliceNG @NigAirForce and the local population above all. #NigeriaFightingTogether Is #NigeriaWinningTogether !!
