Over the last few months the DIY #engineer in me has been busy turning the family home to #smarthome via a plethora of #IOT products. In the thread below are few of my observations and a possible glimpse into where I see this space moving. Always happy to receive feedback.
1/n So one of the first steps before going #Smarthome is to identify the ecosystem you wish to plug your home into. Now the two primary options that most users should choose are @Google & @amazon #Alexa. Over an above these you have exotic options which I stayed away from. 
3/n Post this I set on a journey of buying compatible devices. Today my lamps are by @WiproLED that wake up via ‘Alexa,It’s dark’. I have my @atomberg_tech fans that wake with ‘Alexa, Garmi’. I have the @XiaomiIndia 360 🎥 #weighingscale & #airpurifier all powered by Alexa
4/n My smartTv is #Firestick powered and voice activated, #smartplugs that can start my #coffeemaker, my #hometheater #cellphone charging and just about anything else in my house. Next on my list are #smartlocks, #smartwater etc.
5/5 The reason I’m doing this post today is to educate you on a few things-1) This sounds gimiky until you actually enjoy the convenience-Trust me! 2) The future of 5G rich homes is #smart #IOT enabled. You’re better off learning this ecosystem sooner than later. #homeautomation
