#KanchiKailasanatharTemple is the oldest structure in Kanchipuram, located in Tamil Nadu, India, dedicated to the God Shiva. The temple was built from 685-705 AD by a Rajasimha (Narasimhavarman II) ruler of the Pallava Dynasty.

#KanchiKailasanatharTemple is of stone built architecture. The tall gopuram (tower) is to the left & temple complex is to the right. The temple's foundations are made of granite, which could withstand the weight of the temple, while the superstructure.

The #SadasivaTemple was constructed in c.1249 by Bommanna Dandanayaka, a commander in the Hoysala Empire during the rule of King Vira Someshwara. It is located in Nuggehalli, Hassan district of Karnataka.

#KedareshvaraTemple is located in Balligavi, near Shikaripura in Shimoga, Karnataka. Dotted with centres of learning (agrahara), Balligavi was an important city during 11th - 12th century Western Chalukya rule. The building material used is soapstone.
