All is not lost. The GOV. Absolutely SHOULD, without delay or politics sign a sheriff oversight bill to deal with criminals working in our 58 counties where sheriff misconduct is largely unchecked until the @FBISanFrancisco and @USAO_DC start looking at things like:

And this @AGBecerra & @GavinNewsom - the County of Monterey rehired a guy I helped expose for breaking the law (while he was a Sgt. In special operations - his own brothers in blue turned him in, as they should @MCoSheriff)

@SheriffBernal rehires this guy and promoted him.

Steve Bernal also spends an inordinate amount of time with the same former cocaine cowboy Dave Drew - post pardon, pre-pardon - he took his money for the 2014 and 2018 sheriff election. ⛄️

But there has been ZERO oversight of the MoCo sheriff and the department has been a hotbed of corruption and misconduct for decades!

Our local press lays off Bernal (mainly) because of #marijuana lobbying. It’s painfully obvious. Therefore we must have oversight.
