Al-Qassam, the Military Wing of #Hamas are currently show casing some of their new rocket capabilities on @AJArabic.#Gaza Image
Devliery of some Fajir-5’s from #Iran as per the documentary currently on @AJArabic Image
@AJArabic MRLS appears to contain 8 rockets. Image
#Syria and #Sudan played an important role in bringing the resistance to #Gaza
Syria isn’t surprising, a long with the source being Iran. Sudan may come as a surprise for some, but it’s not 100% fully unexpected. I would assume the smuggle route is over the Sinai and into Gaza via boat or across the Gaza border which Egypt is trying to stop.
Abu Ibrahim, a commander in #Hamas Al-Qassam;

"We received weapons from Iran, including the Kornet and Fajr missiles, and Syria and Sudan played an important role".

(the statement I referred to earlier in the thread)
Video from the @AJArabic documentary of the newly shown MRLS. The Military Wing of #Hamas, Al-Qassam showcased earlier this evening. #Gaza #Israel
#Hamas Al-Qassam manufacturing S-40 rockets. Image
S-40’s being loaded into their underground launchers. Often mentioned as “Agricultural land” when being targeted or “underground infrastructure”. Image
Al-Qassam also show cased them using old IDF and WW1 ordinances to use in their missiles. Also showing casing the Q-20/Q-12 which i’ve been seen referenced before. ImageImage
So Al-Qassam rocket arsenal is consisting of;
- Q-12
- Q-20
- S-40
- S-55
- Fajir-3
- Fajir-5
- J70
- J80
- M75
- M302
- R160

Some of these are the same rockets but slightly modified variants that have been showcased/shown in the past.
subtle message in the background of the new MRLS showcase. Ashkelon. Image
Image from #Gaza of some of the guns recovered from one of the HMS vessels (don’t think this is M15) where Al-Qassam retrieved ordinance from for their rocket arsenal. Image
HMS M-15 sunk roughly 2/2.5 nautical miles off the coast of #Gaza for those who are curious.
I believe the other vessel that was sunk off the coast of #Gaza was HMS Staunch, so sunk near HMS M-15, possibly where the deck guns placed in the square in Gaza came from.
Interesting but valuable piece of information here. The deck guns have been present in Gaza in the square for 4 years, this means #Hamas have been collecting ordinance from these vessels from at least 2016. Maybe earlier.
#Hamas Q-12/Q-20 rocket appears to be derived from a “QF 12-pounder 12 cwt naval gun”, 3 inch Calibre, 12 pound (5.5kg~) shell.
#Hamas S-40/S-55 appears to be derived from a “BL 4-inch Mk VIII naval gun”. 4 inch Calibre 31 pounds (14~kg) shell.

These figures give us a rough guidance to the size of warhead on these rockets.
This is crazily fascinating.
Per @StrategyBin, the vessel would have had approx. 240 rounds for the 4 inch (S-40/55) and approx. 200 rounds for the 3 inch. Taking this into consideration. During the documentary tonight #Hamas claimed to have fired 78 rounds in a minute at Ashkelon in May 2019 this would mean
That over 1 quarter of the arsenal (if they were all Q-12/20’s) were used in that one day. Approx. 440 rounds were launched from #Gaza into #Israel from one WW1 vessel. Considering in 2018/2019 approx. 2600 rockets were fired, it’s a small portion of the arsenal. More so when you
Consider they’ve potentially been doing this since 2016.
#Gaza media outlets confirming this morning that ordinance were only collected from HMS M-15 and HMS Staunch, so we know these shells approx numbers as per this thread, it's possible that Al-Qassam have announced this now as they aren't using this method anymore.

Initial low resolution satellite imagery from Nevatim Airbase this morning appears to show some damage around 31°12'15.7"N 35°02'19.7"E, which aligns with reports of a building being damaged. Not seeing anything else obvious, currently. Couple of annoying cloud shadows.

Another potential impact on the runway, and just south of it. Can't make up my mind on the one south of it, could be the change in light which can be observed on the larger structures.

Higher resolution required for this.
for those who want to gander themselves, here;

I am not seeing anything overly obvious would contradict the reports of it being hit and sustaining small damage, there are a few markers per se, but it's minimal, if that.browser.dataspace.copernicus.eu/?zoom=14&lat=3…

After following the rhetorics and post event details of these drones for years in the Middle East seeing them now “in the wild” is truly something. The illusive Shahed’s doing their thing, in the public eye.
The secretiveness of these drones is no more. No doubt radar data we’ll be analysed.

Sat. Imagery courtesy of @planet from earlier today shows several vehicles on the runway at #Aleppo Intl. Airport, #Syria most likely conducting a repair (square cutover already) after the reported #Israel|i airstrike hours after #IRGC affiliated Yas Air Cargo EP-GOX landed.
To the south of the runway you can see the damage caused to the DVOR/DME Navaid which also appears to be targeted.

Heavy scaring can be seen in both areas due to fires. Notably, personally, I’ve only twice seen a runway targeting have some heavy prominent scaring.
In September 2020 an airstrike at T4 left heavy burn marks after something was reportedly struck on the apron. And the included tweet in 2021.
