Due to the increasing number of corona infections, stronger measures will apply again in Northern Ireland from Tuesday evening. With a few exceptions, members of different households are no longer allowed to meet inside,
as the government said. A maximum of six people from two households will still be allowed to meet outdoors. There have been nearly 400 new cases in Northern Ireland in the past 48 hours alone. But the number of cases is rising rapidly across Great Britain:
In the past few days, 3,500 to 4,000 new cases have been added almost every day, and the number of infections roughly doubled within seven days. If the virus continues to spread unhindered at the same pace, the UK could count nearly 50,000 cases a day in mid-October,
leading health experts warned on Monday.
