This is from @Craig_A_Spencer who treated 100s of #COVID19 ER cases in NYC's peak epidemic. Here's what's weird about @POTUS treatment so far:
- nobody has consulted the world's top expert #TonyFauci & neither of #Trump's docs (Conley, Dooley) have apparently treated this b4

- There is limited evidence that remdesivir actually works, but if it helps it's when used in early stage disease;
- There is NO proof (yet) that Regeneron's monoclonal antibodies work, but some reason to think early stage admin is best;

- Steroids like dexamethasone stifle the immune system, so it is usually considered dangerous to use them in early stage #COVID19 when the body is hopefully making antibodies. UK std-of-care is to use in acute cases;
- Nobody has provided lung scan info, so...

- more doses of both remdesivir & dexamethasone are needed. These are infusions, typically admin'ed in-hospital, yet they plan to send #Trump back to @WhiteHouse Monday;

-...at the Rose Garden ceremony, @POTUS has been infected for 8 days. Typically w/#COVID19 the 8-12 day window is the most critical for symptomatic patients. Yet his docs are talking about sending #Trump home.

The good folks @GISAID have nearly 140,000 #SARSCoV2 viruses genetically sequenced. If you go to their epi section: gisaid.org/epiflu-applica…
..there are some amazing findings.
1.) Tracing backwards they think 3 diff strains were in Wuhan by Dec4, abt 1% diff from each other.

2.) If you pass your cursor over a dot you get read-out on strain: source, country, genetics.
3.) As you move from Left 2 Right you track both time & an ever-widening genetic tree.
4.) Most USA viruses are the blue GR clade, which 1st emerged abt 2nd week of Feb.

France's Macron is denouncing LIVE the #UN Security Council's failure to act on #COVID19 & general paralysis of the system amid the veto powers of the US, China & Russia. He says the world's future "cannot be left to the rivalry between the U.S. & China."
