1. 1st they came for #50sWomen as they:
💥initially added 5 yrs to our State Pension Age whilst deliberately not telling us
💥took no notice of the lifetime of inequality suffered by #50sWomen
💥or that their private pensions are a fraction of men's

💥& auto-enrolment discriminates against women
💥ignored their own pensions committee report that told them exactly those things
💥& the unpaid caring many women carry out
💥then accelerated the rise in SPA by several years
💥& added another year to the SPA for women & men
⬇️

3.
💥reneged on a promise to give women auto-credits that 9.8 million men had been given over 35 years
💥increased the qualifying years to 35
💥reduced widows' pensions especially for those on the New State Pension
💥raised the age at which a couple could get pension credit

4.
💥published disrespectful adverts that failed miserably to inform anyone
💥told us we had to earn pensions in our own right, but had no access to benefits in own right
💥& had to be "kept" by partners
💥told women in their 60s to sign on for JSA & apply for apprenticeships

5.
💥ignored the fact that 86% of cost of austerity had fallen on women
💥sent over 60s out to work in pandemic with many women in front-line roles
💥ignored the disproportionate impact of #COVID19 on women's jobs
💥threatened to remove triple lock on worst pensions in OECD

Next they are coming for YOUR pension!
Is it any wonder that #50sWomen feel discriminated against? Nothing other than #FullRestitution will suffice for this appalling injustice

Several FURTHER examples of DWP mismanagement of women's #pensions have come to light, in addition to failing to write to #50sWomen for 14+yrs
💥Underpayment to older women
💥Repeated miscalculations for widowed/divorced
💥Delays to 1st payment even though benefits stopped

💥No means to claim for loss of #GuaranteedMinimumPension payments affecting many women, despite #PHSO request
💥In 2017-18, >71% of #pensions tax relief went to men
💥3m♀️ don't earn enough to have #autoenrolment, which widens gap between low & high earners anyway

💥Among 65–74 yr-olds median private pension wealth is £182.4k for men & £25k for women
💥1.2m ♀️ in their 50s have NO private pension
💥#GenderPensionsGap is still approx.38%
💥MPs protected their own pension scheme for anyone within 10 yrs of retirement

Although denied an appeal in #SupremeCourt in a breath-taking example of #WednesburyUnreasonableness as "out of time" our case will be heard by #CEDAWinLAW People's Tribunal on 13 July 2022
