A very smart opening by Biden saying “if you remember nothing else, remember this…”

That’s a great debate technique. #Debates2020
Great Biden line: “He says we’re learning to live it it? We’re learning to die with it.”

Very powerful. #Debates2020
Another great Biden line: “I’m going to shut down the virus, not shut down the country.”

However, my group is already complaining that Biden has great words but no solutions. #Debates2020
Trump’s demeanor tonight is pitch perfect. #Debates2020
I asked my focus group who won the exchange on COVID.

One voter said: "I think Trump won because Biden didn’t convince me that he would do anything differently than what Trump has done so far. He didn’t provide tangible examples.” #Debates2020
Trump does not do well with my group when he's playing the victim.

He should be defending the people, not himself. #Debates2020
Just like in 2016, my focus group thinks Trump’s taxes are NOT an important issue.

They want to move on to issues that affect their lives more. #Debates2020
Once again, my group of undecideds want more specifics from Joe Biden that they’re not getting tonight.

It’s not enough for Biden to be anti-Trump. #Debates2020
My group of undecideds think everyone is corrupt in politics.

Neither candidate won that segment. #Debates2020
Biden is smart to appeal directly to people at home. It’s folksy and down-to-earth. #Debates2020
The winner so far: Moderator Kristen Welker. #Debates2020
Biden’s soundbites are much better than Trump’s, but my group doesn’t like Biden’s lack of details.

They are getting really frustrated with the VP. #Debates2020
My focus group of undecideds want the candidates to be candid and admit that they've made mistakes.

They want humility, and they’re not getting what they want. #Debates2020

My focus group’s words to describe Trump tonight:
• “Controlled”
• “Reserved”
• “Poised”
• “Con artist”
• “Surprisingly presidential”

Words to describe Biden tonight:
• “Vague”
• “Unspecific”
• “Elusive”
• “Defensive”
• “Grandfatherly”

“People running for office have to tell you what they plan to do and how they’re going to do it.

I thought Joe Biden would tell us tonight, but there was nothing there.” #Debates2020

Washington Post reporter @MFFisher asks my group of undecideds about character.

Similarly as before, they say Joe Biden is a more decent person, but they side more with Trump’s policies and how they affect their daily lives.

Let’s give ABC credit for getting right to Joe Biden, and let’s ask NBC why it took so long to get to Donald Trump.
I resent having to turn my channel back-and-forth between the 2 town halls.

The American people have a right to see and hear them side-by-side, or at least one after another. This is so stupid.
ABC is inviting audience members to ask questions.

On NBC, it’s just the host – that’s not what a townhall is about.

I’m on live with my virtual focus group of undecided voters from battleground states. #Debates2020

Tune in here:
This is why I do these – you don’t hear this type of unfiltered commentary on cable news.
Agreed – when it comes to our voting system, falsehoods must be corrected every single time.

It’s essential to the electoral process.

Trump should be debating Biden, not the moderator.

He’s currently in control, but I’m not sure if snipin at Chris Wallace helps him. #Debates2020
My undecided focus group does not like Trump’s tone at all. #Debates2020

The @latimes will be live-streaming their reaction after the debate:
@latimes My group of undecided voters don’t mind Trump challenging Biden – but they want to hear the questions from Chris Wallace.

Trump is pushing too hard. #Debates2020

Security here in Cleveland is extremely tight as they prepare for tonight’s monumental presidential debate.

In fact, the only people on the streets are the police. #Debates2020 ImageImage
The entire audience will be wearing masks the entire time tonight.

That’s going to make audience shots very uncomfortable for some people at home. #Debates2020 Image
The greatest live sound guy in Hollywood. When you absolutely, positively have to get it right, Murray Siegel is the guy you go to.

In 11 hours, this will be the most important place in the world. #Debates2020

Bravo to the UAE, Bahrain, and Israel. This peace agreement is the first positive sign of 2020.

For the last 6 months, I felt like I was drowning in negativity.  But thanks to leaders focused on their people's futures rather than the past, I am happy for the Middle East today.
I finally got a new profile pic, and it was just snapped at the signing of the #AbrahamAccords.

Today is the first good day of 2020. Image
A packed house for peace.
