Couched in language to appease skeptics and address controversies around the efficacy of political advertising more broadly, there is some basic evidence here in the C4 leak that is difficult to dismiss as “snake oil” —again, CA/SCL was not *magical* but it was also not nothing.

First time I’ve seen a news organization acknowledge that the Michelle Obama “can’t run the White House” ad was a deliberate falsification created by Cambridge Analytica for the Mercer PAC MAN1.

It’s true. These databases are messy. C4 gave me my data and most of it was NULL. When CA gave me a profile in March 2017 it was only partially accurate, perplexingly inaccurate. But in the supersample, it can have effects at the margins, where it matters, when used diabolically.

Crucial that the British broadcaster cooperated with a local newspaper and shared the source. But we have to ask ourselves why our voter data went to the UK in the last presidential election cycle and why is it still leaking 4 years later? miamiherald.com/news/politics-… #TheGreatHack
