Joe Biden has taken the lead over President Donald Trump in GEORGIA by 917 votes, Insider and Decision Desk HQ project, a key step in his historic quest to be the first Democratic presidential nominee to carry the state since Bill Clinton in 1992 businessinsider.com/2020-election-…
hello! While we're waiting for more presidential results, I thought I'd give you an update on the House. @DecisionDeskHQ projects that Republicans have won back 5 seats on net so far. Rs flipped 7 seats and Dems won back 2 thanks to redistricting in NC businessinsider.com/2020-house-ele…
Democrats have also fallen short on many of their offensive targets to flip R-held seats: their most promising pickup opportunity is #GA07, where @DecisionDesk HQ has not projected a winner and we should (hopefully!) get more clarity today as more votes are counted/reported
Another vulnerable freshman House Democrat down — Insider and @DecisionDeskHQ project that Democratic Rep. Joe Cunningham in #SC01 has been defeated by Republican challenger Nancy Mace businessinsider.com/south-carolina…
First-term Democrats who flipped R-controlled seats in 2018 but have conceded their 2020 races/been projected to lose by @DecisionDeskHQ:
-Debbie Mucrasel-Powell #FL26
-Donna Shalala #FL27
-Max Rose #NY11
-Xochitl Torres Small #NM02
-Kendra Horn #OK05
-Joe Cunningham #SC01
Abby Finkenauer in #IA01, Anthony Brindisi in #NY22, TJ Cox in #CA21, and Gil Cisneros in #CA39 are all positioned to also conceivably join the list in the coming days, based on @DecisionDeskHQ results
A story I wrote a couple days ago: How to know if a presidential candidate claiming victory has actually won the election. A reminder that a candidate falsely declaring victory has no legal weight and has no bearing on the canvassing process businessinsider.com/trump-biden-pr…
Everything the president just said is completely nonsensical and incoherent. He's claiming he's winning...and yet wants the counting to be shut down — people who are legitimately winning/won wouldn't need for that to happen
This is also true — you can't just go to the Supreme Court and be like "hey I don't like the fact that these ballots are being counted, pls make it stop." There's def the possibility for future litigation but these cases have to move up through the system

Tomorrow is the last day of voting in the 2020 presidential election, and there's still time to make your vote count — here are my top four of my guides w/ @GraphicsInsider for in-person Election Day voting I'm re-upping today 1/6
First up, did you know that in many states, you can register to vote in-person and then go vote on Election Day itself? That’s right — 19 states and the District of Columbia now have same-day registration! 2/6 businessinsider.com/voter-registra…
Places with same-day voter registration: CA, CO, DC, HI, ID, IL, IA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MT, NV, NH, UT, VT, WA, WI, and WY. Keep in mind that you need to bring ID/proof of residency to register on E-day, so be sure to look up what you need to bring with you beforehand 3/6
A must-read from Ben Ginsberg & Bob Bauer: "Despite all the 2020 rhetoric, this country has a solid system to count votes; to adjudicate allegations of fraud, irregularity or error; to provide avenues for resolving close elections; and to declare winners." washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/…
"The president has notably failed to produce any evidence of systemic fraud to support his claims. He has ignored the fact that Republican observers have witnessed voting in every election and have discovered fraud only in rare, isolated incidences." washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/…
"The process to overturn an election would require specific evidence proved on a precinct and county level. Blanket challenges won’t work. Bombastic rhetoric at a rally or a television interview is far from sufficient." washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/…
