Karnataka High Court begins hearing a batch of petitions challenging the induction of three MLCs into council of ministers. These MLCs are R. Shankar, A.H. Vishwanath, and N. Nagaraj (MTB)
Advocate Prashant Bhushan, appears in plea filed by Adv Harisha AS.
Bhushan submits that one of the respondents should not be inducted to council of ministers and another respondent should not be allowed to continue as an MLC.
Bench asks him on the effect of the Supreme Court order.
Bhushan: On Nov 12, 2018, the Alex Court upheld the decision of former Speaker of Karnataka to disqualify 17 rebel MLAs on the ground of defection.
Bhushan submits that a nominated member cannot be appointed to a to political post and if he is disqualified then he cannot be appointed as a Minister.

AAG of Tamil Nadu: 30 days parole is allowed in 2 years. He is already allowed 51 days. Now he has a hospital 25 km away he wants to go to a hospital which is 200 km away. Those facts are not presented before the court.

Children of sex workers who go to school will receive Rs. 2500/- per month.
[Corrigendum]: The amount of ration to be given is not specified in the government resolution. But the government intends to provide some ration to the sex workers.
